How "near me" works
Your profile shows your nearest town or city, never your address, and everyone else's does the same. When you set how far you are happy to travel, the matching sticks to it, so a cougar near me means exactly that. In a big city a few miles is plenty. In a smaller town, widen your distance to take in the nearest city and you will see far more people.
